SITTING WITH SUFFERING
SUNDAY 3:15pm

Sitting with Suffering

For over 6 years now I have regularly run introductory EFT workshops at a local cancer support centre and in a large hospital based Macmillan centre. I also facilitate Living Well courses for Penny Brohn UK which used to be called the Bristol Cancer Help Centre.

My private practice attracts people who are seriously ill, coming towards the end of their life or grieving the loss of a loved one (not every client though, I have plenty of all sorts!). I have had to learn to sit with suffering and resource on going suffering. It’s a priority to me that my energy system is not adversely affected. What I find is that I often end a session quietly filled with joy!

We will explore what it takes for suffering to not stick to us and for our work with clients to be sourced from Universal ‘Grace’. I will introduce a way of working with EFT and an ancient Buddhist tantra practice that can bring profound peace and blessings to both the client and practitioner. It’s also a universal healing tool at the same time and can even sometimes brings a direct experience of who we really are. Using this way of working can be the perfect ending for a session with a client, especially if there isn’t an obvious resolvable core issue found.

Kathy Adams

Kathy used to nurse in Palliative Care and Oncology. She is trained as a counsellor, Health and Wellbeing coach, Living Well Course Facilitator and Homeopath though mostly an EFT practitioner. Although she integrates all that she has learnt and experienced, it is the EFT that shines and makes the biggest difference.

What informs my work moment by moment is my intention to work through ‘Grace’. For the majority of my clients this is carefully ‘undercover’ as meeting my clients where they are at is my primary goal. This is of course the beauty of EFT as along with some tapping and skilful delivery that is the basis of what we are doing.
