Your Data and the EFT Gathering
The EFT Gathering is run by Emotional Health Ltd which is run by me Gwyneth Moss. Its the online systems I use which enable me to run this annual event, inevitably these systems collect and store data. On this page I will try and explain what, how and where.
I do not intentionally collect or store any unnecessary data and I do not share or trade any data with anyone else. The system providers I use are well established companies that I have used for many years.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
To run the Gathering we need your name, email, phone number and location. Your name and location are printed on your badge to help you get to know other people at the event. Your email, name and location are shared with other attendees in a directory so that you can stay in touch after the event, when you book your place there is an option to remove your name from this directory, or you can contact me at any time and I will remove your name. We only ask for your phone number so that we can contact you with a reminder if you have not paid for your place or there is any emergency at the event.
After the event we will use your email to send out handouts from the presenters and news of future events. We will not use your email for any other purposes and all emails will have an unsubscribe link.
We no longer have a ‘special needs’ question on the event registration form because there are complex issues around collecting data about any special needs. If you have special needs please reply to the booking email.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
The privacy issues around Google Analytics are complex and I don’t understand them. Analytics is useful for me to know how well the website is working. But I don’t know what Google or others do with your data so for now I have removed Analytics.
Who we share your data with
We do not share your data with anyone. We do not share, sell or trade any data.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (presenters who create a profile), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
